DeLorme Earthmate GPS PN-20 or PN-40. This compact GPS receiver lets you create tracks of your travels, create routes, and find points of interest, and more! The GPS device shows not only a map with your current position, but shows your position on aerial photography and satellite imagery. Think of this new type of GPS as having Google Earth, GPS enabled, in your pocket. The device itself is nice and small; it is very light making it easy to travel with. The outer skin of the PN-20 is a rubberized material, which makes the device easy to handle and waterproof. The buttons are tall enough and stiff enough that they can be used with a medium weight set of gloves. The screen is a similar overall size to that of other handheld GPS devices with a resolution of 176×220 pixels.

Utah sXs Group Riding Tips

*Travel straight up or down hills. Don’t traverse the face of a hill.

*Drive over, not around obstacles to avoid widening the trail.

*Cross large rocks and other obstacles slowly, at an angle one wheel at a time.

*Cross ravines slowly at a 45-degree angle.

*Straddle ruts, gullies, and washouts even if they are wider than your side x side.

*Don’t turn around on narrow roads, steep terrain, or unstable ground.

*Maintain a reasonable distance between vehicles.

*Be considerate of others on the road or trail.

*Make a realistic plan, and stick to it. Always tell someone of your travel plans.

*Buckle-up!

Are You Tired of the Government Talking Away Your Riding Areas?
Are You Tired of the land grabs by SUWA?

Well I’m Tired of it and I’ll bet you are to. I have been looking for a way that all of us can do something to help protect our rights to access public lands. If we just sit on the sideline’s we will end up with just limited areas that we could ride our Side x Sides.

What You Can Do

Go to http://www.usaall.org and sign up for email notices from this organization. They are our advocates for all motorized and mechanized recreation users. Check out their website and see as I did that this is what is needed to let the government know that we care about our rights.  If you wish you can become a member of this Alliance with a small donation of $30.00 a year. I gave my donation. It made me feel good to know that with such a little amount that there is a group out there supporting the likes of our group.

Join Utah Shared Alliance
Our group gets together a few times each year for rides on trails around the state of Utah. Members from around the State (or nearby States) are encouraged to host trail rides that they have enjoyed and to share them with other members.  Rides can be 1 day, 2 days or more. (2 or more days would require a little more planning)
Our website has a members page that is password protected. The page is only for members. The members page is for information on all hosted rides and upcoming events. A membership requirement to join the group is that you own or have a Side x Side UTV. We consider some sand buggys with two seats as a side x side.
Our Motto: Respect the Trail

Our Goal. Leave a trail better than when we used it

Our Mission: To Share and Promote Great Rides
